Who’s judging the judges?
posted in Rantings |I admit, I was sucked into the American Idol abyss when it first aired. In fact, I was stuck on stupid for the first 3 seasons.
While Simon didn’t win any awards for his tact or diplomacy, I respected his candor. His honesty was refreshing, although not necessarily the easiest to swallow, without the assistance of Smirnoff.
There are some talented people, who try to woo and wow America, but my question is, how can Paula Abdul judge someone’s singing? She was a phenomenal dancer, but a singer? Um, NOT.
Now, JLo has a reality show judging dancers. Ok, she did dance on Living Color, but is she qualified to judge and assess trained dancers?
Am I the only person who is bored with the no-longer-marketable-ex-celebs telling others what it takes to make it? Please, someone give me a break.
